Fealings is a modern clothing brand created for fashion and for statement. The idea is that younger generations are hiding their feelings. These generations that are coming up in the world are surrounded by technology that brings them away from real-life people. It’s becoming harder and harder for people to talk to other people, and the traditional ways we communicate are changing. People are afraid to speak or show they’re feelings, and I’m looking to change that.
Nobody ever tells anybody how they feel, so these collections I design and create and made to express the feelings they have.
The question I’m asked the most is, “Did you know you spelled feelings wrong?” Yes, I know it isn’t spelled the way you think it should be spelled. There’s a reason it is spelled the way it is. From the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the root word of Feal has different meanings from two different origins:
[Verb](England) Feal – Conceal
[Adjective](Archaic) Feal – Faithful, Loyal
These clothes are made for people to show their true feelings without having to tell people. People shouldn’t have to hide their feelings, and these clothing pieces will allow for a representation of the way they are so people know without having to ask. Be faithful, and loyal to the way you feel and always trust the way you think things should go. As simple as that. The word Fealings can be related to the feelings we have every single day.
